Alice
Xrabbit: Alice’s boyfriend (aka Dan)
Alice’s mother
Summary: Alice catches a cold and she is sick in bed. After taking her medicine she falls asleep and the next moment she wakes up she finds herself stuck in unexpected events and people around her behaving unusually.
Scene 1
[Int. Alice’s bedroom]
[Alice’s POV: glance of her bedroom, piles of magazines on her bed, and empty bags of potato chips, empty bottles of mineral water, and lap top on her bed. Alice lying on her bed talking on her mobile phone. It is set in the afternoon and you can still see the sunlight outside the window]
(Alice on the phone with her boyfriend Dan)
Alice: uggh, Dan I’m sick of staying in bed, when are you coming back home? This city needs you and I need you.
Dan: Come on, Christmas is approaching, its only a month left, don’t worry I’ll be back for the holidays. Alice you have got to stop getting sick all the time, and go to school.
Alice: woo, speaking of Christmas I need to go buy some new shoes and winter jackets. I’ll have my hair done as well, so you can see me all pretty and glam.
Dan: Alice is this really what you should be focusing on right now?
Alice: ughh, but I’m so boredddddd. I’ve been doing the same thing everyday.
Dan: aren’t you suppose to be sick in bed, or are you making excuses again?
Alice: I am really sick this time though, I just told my mom to bring me some panadol. But I want to go out, like we always do, there’s no excitement these days.
Dan: well I’m gonna hang up now, I’ll talk to you on msn yea? And stop being such a lazy ass, and if our bored go out to get some part-time jobs or internships.
Alice: Fine fine fine, I’ll shut. okok, miss you.
Dan: miss you too, take care
(Alice’s mom walks in the room)
Alice’s mom: honey here’s your medicine, just drink this, take some rest and you’ll be fine soon. I’ll cut you some oranges later ok?
Alice: Thanks mom
(Alice’s mom leaves the room)
(Alice grabbing her glass of water, and putting the two panadol pills in her mouth)
(Alice reaches for her lap top, and opens up her msn)
[POV Close up: Alice on her computer]
Alice: Dannnnn, I still don’t get why your msn name is still xrabbit. Ahaha
Dan: you made me change it to xrabbit, after I got you a white rabbit for your birthday. If you don’t mind me changing it then I’m gonna change back my msn name
Alice: NOOO, I’m just kidding of course I remember it, I like it mr. xrabbit, Keep it, so xrabbit stands out on my list, I’ll always be able to spot you
Dan: ahh, fine fine
Alice: Well I’m feeling a bit sleepy now, so I’m going to get some rest yea? I’ll talk to you later or tomorrow. Byeee
Dan: byeeee
(Close Up on Alice, she falls asleep, transition of time passing by, the camera focuses on the shadow changing from sun set to night)
Scene 2
[Int. Alice’s bedroom]
(Alice hears her doorbell ringing)
Alice: Mom, someone’s at the door are you going to get it?
Mom?
(no response)
Alice: Hmmmmm, that’s odd, where could she be? Shower?
(She leaves her room, glances of the house, no one seems to be in the house except for Alice, and next moment she opens the door)
[POV Alice: looking surprised to see her boyfriend at the door]
(Alice looking confused)
Alice: What are you doing here? Am I dreaming? Wow, were you planning all this the whole to time to surprise me?
Xrabbit: Darling Alice I don’t have much time explaining right now, anyways, I very late for an important date, would you like to run off with me?
Alice: ahhhh, What are you talking about Dan?
Xrabbit: Coming or not?
(as Xrabbit starts to walk always Alice grabs her coat, and follows him out the door)
[POV: transition to night scene. All the scene shot here going into her adventure will be set at night]
Alice: What is up with you? What’s all this I need an explaination.
Xrabbit: Sweetie nothing, I came to see you. Just follow me, I’m taking you to a party
Alice: What party? What’s all this rush? When did you even get back anyways? Why didn’t you tell me?
Xrabbit: Alice, cut it with all this question of yours, just wait and you’ll see.
(Xrabbit pulling Alice’s arms, she gets dragged to an ally that they are both familiar with, streets of many clubs and bars around.)
[POV: music from the clubs and bars, spilling out onto the streets, skinny models, and a crowd of people flooding the street, all lights and clothes in vibrant and vivid colors)
(Suddenly Xrabbit stops in front of a black door, and rushes himself in, leaving Alice out, she tries to follow him inside, except the two bouncers standing out by the door stop her from entering)
Alice: Umm, I’m with him, so can you just let me in?
Bouncers: Girl, sorry invitation only.
Alice: huh? What’s the event anyways? Just let me in, I’m not here for the party, I’m just following my boyfriend
Bouncers: You are curious?
(The two bouncers look at each other and laugh)
(The bouncers push her aside and let the other people in)
(Alice standing alone on the street, she reaches for her mobile phone in her pocket. She tries to give her boyfriend a call, except his mobile phone is turned off)
(A skinny pretty girl in a purple dress (Kat) walks in front of her)
Kat: What’s the matter girl?
Alice: Well I was suppose to follow up my boyfriend in that club but he just left me out here and the bouncers wouldn’t let me in
Kat: Aww, that’s sad, what great boyfriend you got. You need invitation for this event
Alice: No, my boyfriend doesn’t act this way usually, I don’t know what’s up with him today, he’s been weird all day
Kat: Well we all have our days don’t we?
Alice: I’m Alice by the way, Are you going in there? Anyways you can smuggle me in?
Kat: I’m Katrina but you can call me Kat. Yea, I I’ll try to smuggle you in my dear, it’s all about confidence. Oh and one more thing, for getting you inside, you have to have some fun with me though.
Alice: Sure, isn’t that what parties are for? Ahahah
(Kat reaches her hand in Alice’s pocket and drops something inside)
Kat: You’ll need to take one of them later, or I’m kicking you out. You know I could always black list you in all the clubs here sweeties. Hehe)
Alice: uhhh, sure what is it? Just look at it after you get inside.
(Kat pulls Alice’s arm, she smiles at the bouncer and they let her enter)
(Pounding music, darkness with beam of laser lights, and disco balls, smokes, and crowd of people dancing on the dance floor)
[POV: Alive looking around confused]
(Alice reaches into her pocket, and she finds two colored candies, one in pink and one in blue written ‘eat me’, reminding her of a valentine candies)
(Alice grabs Kat’s arm)
Alice: What are these?
(Kat whispers in Alice’s ears)
Kat: I know you know it darling. You’re my toy for the night, I got you in, your with me now.
(Kat winks at Alice)
Alice: umm, I have to find my boyfriend though, he is probably in here somewhere, I’ll get back to you after I find him
(Kat grabs Alice’s arm)
Kat: Take it or not, your out.
(Alice staring at Kay’s eyes)
Alice: Fine! I’ll pick one.
(She pops the pink one in her mouth)
(Kat drags Alice into a private room, where she spots a bunch of skinny anorexic models, drinking, laughing and dancing inside. She coughs over the smell of their strong perfume, and cigarettes)
[POV: Alice looking around, observing the place with nice velvet couch, huge mirrors on the wall, crystal cocktail glasses, and diamond implanted cushions. Girls all dress like naked animals, accessorized like Marie Antoinette)
Alice: Kat why are you bringing me here?
Girl 1in the room: Hello, enjoy
[Girl 1 hands Alice a glass of champagne]
Alice: Hi, who are you girls?
Girl 2: Oh, we’re all models, what agency are you from my dear?
Girl 3: You don’t seem too skinny?
Girl 4: Have you got your botox done this month?
Girl 5: Haven’t you seen my billboards on the street yet?
Alice: Model? Botox? Umm sure you guys all do look like a bunch of flowers. I’m not a model or anything. I was just brought up here by Kat
(Alice turns around to look for Kat but she seems to be out of sight)
Girl 2: Ewww, she’s not a model
Girl 3: No wonder she looks ugly
(Alice looking at one of the girls doing a line of cocaine)
Girl 1: Get out of here, we don’t want any ugly bitch in our room. You don’t belong here
(Girl 2 kicks Alice out of the room)
(Alice feeling a little insulted, and discriminated)
Alice: Bitches.
(Alice wondering around the club, looking for her boyfriend, she goes into the corner where she finds a girl sitting alone smoking on a hooka pipe (Mademoiselle butterfly), Alice goes up to her to talk)
Alice: Hi, um can I sit here?
(Mademoiselle butterfly blowing a smoke out of her hooka pipe, she talks to Alice)
Mademoiselle butterfly: Who are you?
Alice: I’m Alice, I’m just looking for my boyfriend. Lost him in here. And you?
Mademoiselle butterfly: Why did you come here? What are you doing here?
Alice: Well my boyfriend kind of just dragged me in here, and I’m not quite so sure why I am here either. May I ask for your name at least?
Mademoiselle butterfly: I am Mademoiselle butterfly. That is my DJ name.
Alice: oh, well Mademoiselle butterfly, I was wondering if I could ask what is this party all about? I’m certainly lost and I don’t know what to do.
(Mademoiselle butterfly laughs)
Mademoiselle butterfly: Well darling your certainly more of lost with who you are. You going through a severe identity crises.
(Mademoiselle butterfly giggles in a high pitch tone)
Alice: . . . . I don’t get what your saying??? I’m pretty sure I’m clear with who I am, and unlike YOU, at least I don’t have ridiculous names like Mademoiselle butterfly.
Mademoiselle butterfly: How dare you. I pity you sweeties. I assume you followed up your boyfriend to this place, and second you lose him, and third you don’t even know what your doing here. Doesn’t that sound more ridiculous than my name? At least I was nice enough to help out someone like you, who looks totally out of place.
(Alice yells)
Alice: It’s not my fault!! I woke up didn’t know what was going on, found my long distance boyfriend at the door and I was dragged up here
Mademoiselle butterfly: Yelling won’t help darling. We’re club, other things are much louder than you are
Alice: Well your not as nice as I thought you were
(Alice hallucinating, she starts to see things blurry. She feels aggressive yet a sensation she never felt)
Mademoiselle butterfly: Trust me, it’s harder to find people that would talk to a girl like you. And let me tell you one thing, next time, don’t follow up to some place you don’t even know what your doing out of curiosity. You’ll be lucky to find your way back out. And out I don’t mean just out of this place. Every people you meet, every action you cause, could end up making you locked up in here. I say get out while you can.
(Mademoiselle butterfly blows out another puff of smoke in Alice’s face)
(Alice starts to feel dizzy like she is flying up into the air. She even sees Mademoiselle butterfly, flying. She closes her eyes for a second, and the next moment she sees herself standing alone on the dance floor)
(Alice unable to function with what she is doing, she questions herself whether it was those pill Kat gave her, is making her feel this way)
(Alice spots Kat, and runs up to her)
Alice: KAT, I’ve been looking for you everywhere, I’m lost and I forgot where the exit was, can you please take me out?
Kat: Done looking for your boyfriend? I got you in, I’m not helping you get out. The exit is just somewhere there, go look for it yourself
Alice: the thing is I can’t function. It’s those stupid pills you gave me. I didn’t come here to encounter with come drug addicts, or stupid bitches.
Kat: Now now, that’s not the way you act towards someone who got you into this place. You know, you were the one that was begging me outside that door
Alice: Well I told you my purpose was not for the party
Kat: You must be bored. Having so much time, going around places without even a purpose of your own. You should face the reality. It’s not as easy as your imagination
Alice: Ok I don’t get a single thing your saying.
Kat: Well you must be stupid. I say go ask the Mr. Hatter there, celebrating this party with his dear old friends. He might be able to help you out, cause I’m not, and get out of my way. Oh, by the way, he’s mad. AHAHAHAHAHA
(Alice, staring at Kat in a confused way, she walks away from her, and gives it a chance to go talk to Mr. Hatter sitting at the table)
Mr. Hatter: Well well, welcome. Came to join my party?
(Mr.Hatter, makes his friend make a seat for Alice)
Alice: umm yea, well I’ve actually come here to ask you whether you could tell me
(Mr. Hatter cuts her off)
Mr. Hatter: See we’re celebrating our annual Friday of the week. Isn’t it amazing how tomorrow is a weekend.
Alice: Well I guess so. You guys are just celebrating because it’s a Friday?
Mr. Hatter: Well we celebrate on Fridays, and Saturdays, and public holidays.
Alice: That’s at least every 2 times a week. I don’t think it’s really something to celebrate? Well I guess it’s just an excuse to come out partying every week.
(Mr. Hatter popping a champagne with fireworks lit on the top)
Mr. Hatter: Well you must be a boring person. Why not make it a celebration, which makes everything sound better and fun.
Alice: I don’t know, it sounds boring something was going on every week. It’s special and something to celebrate because it doesn’t happen so often. Like Christmas.
Mr. Hatter: Shut your mouth girl.
(Alice spots Xrabbit walking pass by her table, she tries to run after him, except Mr. Hatter grabs her arm)
Mr. Hatter: What is it that you want sweetie? Money? Sex? Drugs? Attention? You know there’s nothing I can’t get.
Alice: I’m sorry I jus wanted to ask you if you knew the way out of here, I’m not here for anything
Mr. Hatter: That’s odd, everyone comes here for a reason looking for something. I’m sure you must have came here for a reason. And Sorry but I don’t deal with party poopers like you
(Alice staring at Mr. Hatter’s eyes, running out of the table. She’s unable to think properly)
(Alice burst into tears, although she’s trapped in a place with so many people and loud music, yet she feels so alone and lost. Reaching for her cell phone, she tries to dial her boyfriend’s number, but the place has no reception)

The scene starts off with Alice in bed with a cold, she skipped school today, and she's talking to her long distance boyfriend on msn. Her mother brings her a panadol and milk for her headache, and soon she finds herself falling asleep on her bed.
From here her adventures start.

Alice suddenly hears a knock at the door, she walks over, opens it and there she sees her boyfriend. He tells her, he's very late for an important date would you like to come along with me right now. With confusion she leaves her house with her boyfriend.
