I've decided to change my short story

Story:
Ordinary 20 years old university student Mike
- on an ordinary day, Mike gets bullied by a random student who he bumps into through the hall way, a random boy Drew comes by and saves Mike for the moment
- Drew is a new student who is new in town, and begs Mike to be his new best friend with an exchange of saving him, he also gives him this random remote control
Drew claims, he has a bomb inserted in his heart, he had been going through many depressions, and he has tried to commit suicide many times
He says coming to this new school was to give himself a new start a chance and if it does not work out, he wants to really end his life.
- He tells Mike, since you are my best friend i trust you to keep this safe, so I will not press the button on the remote myself when I am depressed
the bomb has a power of killing anyone that stands within 1 meter away from me, so I do not want to involve anyone around me to get hurt

-Mike not taking this whole story serious, he takes the remote control home for Drew, and decides to keep it

-later he looks up on a website, of the brand of the remote control and finds out the what Drew has been talking about is pretty much true

- What should Mike do now with the power he has over this remote, would he betray his friend or keep tis remote safe for ever?

- But the secret about this remote is, it was all just a research for young people and how much they trust the information on the internet.
Would Mike be able to take in all this? How far does he cross the line?
